This weeks question:
How can we encourage our children to know Jesus so well, when the Spirit tells them to do something outside of the ordinary they comply?
By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in godly fear built an ark to save his family. Hebrews 11:7
How can we encourage our children to know Jesus so well, when the Spirit tells them to do something outside of the ordinary they comply?
We know this type of obedience is spiritual however what role do we have as parents regarding our children knowing Jesus?
What are some practical ways you have encouraged your children to know Jesus? Please post your comments below.
When it comes to knowing Jesus, Sean and I help our children maintain a prayer book. It’s a dollar composition book where we write/draw their prayer requests and how God answers their prayers. When we forget what God has done for us and how He answers our prayers we are more inclined to disobey His leading.
And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them which knew not the Lord, nor yet the works which He had done for Israel. And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord and served Baalim. And they forsook the Lord of their Fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt and followed other gods…. Joshua 2:10-12
Parents knowing Jesus- I remember before the days of War Room, I began to question God’s willingness to hear my prayers. I pinned a white poster board next to my bedroom door, I drew a line in the middle of the board and on one side wrote prayer request and titled the other side God’s Answers. It’s strange how we so easily I forget and question God’s intentions and His abilities. To make a long story short my prayer life was revived because I had evidence to God is still hearing me.
How have you stayed encouraged with knowing Jesus as a God who can… and should be obeyed? Post your comments below.
